Sparks Library Remodel
$230,000
This project created an Information Commons with expanded electronic access for all reference and periodicals patrons. A new circulation desk was placed against the West wall, creating an information street from the entry to a new reference desk.

Reno Central Library
Preliminary design
$3 million (Projected Cost)
This project will create an Information Commons on the lower level of the library with expanded electronic access for all reference and periodicals patrons. A new elevator and stair adjacent to the bridge will improve access.

A smart classroom loaded with computers will be constructed beyond the bridge. Adjacent will be an enclosed library space for noisy young adults. A quite, young adult study area will be created as a transition space between the YA Zone and the new, expanded Children’s library. The appearance of the library will be updated dramatically. Color will be added with new furnishings and signage. Visibility and safety will be improved with glass guardrails on the bridge, island and balcony. At the entry, a weather vestibule, kiosk and modern building sign will mark the re-opening of the Reno Central Library.
