The Aerial Port Training Facility serves three purposes for the Nevada Air National Guard. First, it is home to the 65 member Aerial Port Flight Unit, providing training, classroom, and administrative spaces. Second, it is an aerial port for the C-130 463L paletized cargo systems.

The 14,200 sf building accomodates the pallets and loading equipment and provides maintenance spaces for pallet systems.

Finally, Aerial Port Flight and the aerial port provide support to the unit, serving as a parachute facility including a drying tower, repair shop, and packing bay.
